This custom TRUE Catalyst 9X stick is a pro return from Ottawa Senators (NHL) player Austin Watson. The construction follows that of a standard Catalyst 9X, with a couple of custom features.
The stick uses a square (A) geometry and a glossy grip. A geometry is the standard square geometry you would find on a 9X stock stick, with traditionally rounded corners and slightly concave walls. The blade is a TC90TT, which is similar to a P90TM from other manufacturers.
Watson’s variation is 64 inches at 85 flex with a red colouration. The stick is labelled “WATSON” on the name bar.
Sticks in the TRUE pro stock collection are custom-modelled after specific NHL player specs and use a different graphic pattern than the 9X. Pro stock sticks do not have a warranty, but they are made tougher and sturdier than stock sticks to accommodate pro-level playstyles.
